High Wind Certification

TRI High Wind Certification

TRI’s Certification program is a one-day course designed to provide training on how to install tile roofs in compliance with current code requirements. The course is based on the Revised Fifth Edition of the FRSA/TRI Florida High Wind Concrete and Clay Tile Installation Manual.

The TRI High Wind Certification designation is targeted to entry level roofers, or more experienced roofers of other materials such as asphalt who want to expand their skill into tile. This course can also be used as a refresher for consultants, inspectors, and those on the roof that want to stay up to date on codes and proper procedures in Florida.

The one-day program ends with a 50 question, open book test. Once passed, certified individuals who are licensed in the state of Florida will earn 6 CE credits. The will also receive a certificate and card and will be listed by company in the Find a Contractor search on the TRI web site. Certification must be renewed every 2 years by attending an in person or on-line 2 hour review course and passing a 15 question test.

Companies can show the TRI High Wind Certification logo on their website and marketing materials, stating that they have “TRI Certified” employees on staff.
