TRI Alliance’s Manual Certification program is a one-day course on the code requirements for the installation of tile roofs. The course is based on the code-approved TRI Concrete and Clay Roof Tile Installation Manual.
TRI Alliance certification is targeted towards both entry-level and experienced roofers who would like to expand their skills into tile. This course can also be used as a refresher for consultants, inspectors and others who want to stay up-to-date on codes and proper procedures.
Participants earn certification after passing a 50-question, open-book test based on the manual. Certification is valid for two years and can be renewed every 2 years on-line.
Manual Certified individuals will be listed by company in the TRI Alliance Contractor Search. If a certified individual changes companies, there will be a $75 administrative fee to change their listing. Or, the certified person can renew early and re-set their certification date and company information. Companies can show the TRI Alliance manual certification logo on their marketing materials, stating they have a TRI Alliance manual certified employee on staff.
