As the industry changes, so must we.

What would the resume of someone with a “PHD in Roofing” look like? Probably a lot like the path Dan Rutkowski, Owner of DDR Roofing in Daytona Beach, Florida has taken. After earning a B. A. in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, Dan went to work for Gregg’s Roofing in Ormond Beach, FL. Dan fit right in with the quality mindset at Gregg’s Roofing and ultimately became General Manager. Roofing on the East Coast of Florida, an environment with hurricane winds, torrential rain, high UV and saltwater provides the opportunity to see what works, what doesn’t, and most important to Dan, what works better.

Dan wanted to launch his own company and opened DDR Roofing in Daytona Beach. The core value at DDR Roofing is a commitment to deliver finished roofs designed, fastened and built for the challenging Florida coastal environment, while consistently providing quality customer service.

DDR Roofing is committed to ongoing training, ensuring employees are current with both minimum standards and best practices.  So it’s no surprise that Dan was one of only two in a class of 53 that scored 100% on the FRSA/TRI Florida High Wind Manual Certification test in Orlando 2 weeks ago.

Mentors, experience and training are critical, but the commitment to quality is personal and part of the culture at DDR Roofing. Office Manager Sandra Watts says, “I believe it is his own pride in his work that drives him. Dan wants to make sure he leaves every customer with a well done job and a positive impression regarding the company.”  That impression is made from the first visit to inspect and measure, to the job’s completion. A recent online review sums up the customer experience DDR Roofing strives for: “When they left there was no sign they had been there except for our beautiful new roof.”
