On-line Certification Renewal Requirements
Online renewal is only available for Certified Installers/Specialists in Moderate Climate regions with a certification that is about to expire or has expired within the past 6 months. If your certification has lapsed for more than 6 months, you can attend an on-site Installer class, or upgrade your certification by attending an on-site Specialist class.
Steps to Renew Online:
If your certification expired within the past six months, or is about to expire, please take the following steps to renew:
- Go to tri.digitalchalk.com to create an account
- Click on the Catalog tab
- Add the TRI Installer Certification Renewal course to your cart and purchase the course
- Review the online course
- Complete the online exam
We offer a low-priced renewal fee of $89. Once you’ve completed the online course and exam, TRI will send you an updated renewal card. Please contact John Jensen at 206-241-5774 or email@example.com with any questions.
New Year Special: For a limited time – now thru February 15, 2014 – TRI is extending the on-line renewal option to anyone with a certification that expired in 2013. Your new certification expiration date will be 2 years after the last expiration date. (For example, if your certification expired Jan 10. 2013 and you renew online today, your new expiration date will be Jan. 10, 2015.) If your certification expired prior to Jan. 1, 2013, you will need to register for an on-site class at www.tileroofingtraining.org.
Note: Our High Wind Installer Certification (Florida) is currently under review, and not available for on-line renewals.
Details about your Renewal
Renew your TRI Certification to continue receiving the benefits of the program. Benefits include being listed on the TRI website. TRI’s certification designations are valid for two years. If you have both the Installer and Specialist certifications, your renewal date is tied to the date you took the Specialist class. After two years, you can choose to renew your certification on-line or attend the first 2 hours of one of our scheduled training classes. After passing a short 15-question test your certification will be extended 2 years past your current expiration date.
To Renew In Person:
This option will depend on space available in upcoming training classes. Contact TRI Training Program Manager John Jensen by email or phone: 206-241-5774 for more information.
