Concrete and Clay Tile Installation Manual for Moderate Climate Regions, 2010

The Tile Roofing Institute in partnership with the Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA) assembled a task group to develop a single manual that would provide a representation of the best installation practices, industry standards, and code requirements. A Summary of Experimental Studies on Seismic Performance of Concrete and Clay Roofing Tiles

The Tile Roofing Institute enlisted the University of Southern California to perform an independent study on the safety of concrete and clay roof tile in the event of a major earthquake. This study has shown that concrete and clay tile roofing systems, when installed according to building code standards, exceed current seismic load requirements for building materials. Fourth Edition of the Concrete and Clay Roof Tile Installation Manual (Florida)

The Florida manual was developed to summarize for the designer, applicator or developer good roofing practice and industry standards for the installation of the mechanically-set and mortar/adhesive-set tiles, which have been developed over a period of time from actual trade practice and the requirements of various building code agencies.
